Gambel Communications Receives Regional Industry Honors

NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans based public relations firm Gambel Communications was recognized with various industry honors at the annual Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF) conference in Destin, FL this September.

         “We are so honored to have our public relations work recognized by our peers,” said Betsie Gambel, president of Gambel Communications. “Every one of our employees brings something special to our industry, and it’s fulfilling to see their expertise recognized.”

         Founded in 1972, SPRF is the umbrella organization for the Public Relations Council of Alabama, Public Relations Association of Mississippi, the Public Relations Association of Louisiana and Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization. Each year, SPRF recognizes outstanding work in the field of public relations during the Lantern Awards ceremony at the end of its annual conference.

         In addition to the Lantern Awards, SPRF also awards various individual honors during the annual conference, including the designation of SPRF Senior Practitioner. The senior practitioner designation honors SPRF members who are recognized by their peers as veteran public relations professionals with high ethical standing.

         This year, Communications Manager, Christine Rigamer, APR was one of two public relations practitioners from Louisiana to be recognized as a 2016 SPRF Senior Practitioner. Rigamer, a long-time Gambel Communications staff member, is an accredited public relations professional and currently serves as president of the Public Relations Association of Louisiana – New Orleans Chapter.
