Former French Market Corporation Executive Director Russell Launches New Diverse Downtown Law Firm

NEW ORLEANS – In February of 2015, Jade Brown Russell, a New Orleans native, agreed to serve as interim executive director of the French Market Corporation during the transition period until the role could be permanently filled. During this time, Russell oversaw operations of the French Market properties, including the historic Upper Pontalba residencies, the Flea Market, Farmer's Market and Crescent Park. Russell has returned to the private sector to continue her work as a lawyer, diversity and inclusion advocate and strategic advisor.

"I have always had a particular affinity to civic engagement, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the public sector," said Russell. "I know that I will continue to be available and active in the public realm, but I am excited about this next chapter of my career with The JBR Firm, where I will be working collaboratively with other firms throughout the region."

The JBR Firm provides high quality services for a diverse set of clients and needs, reps said. The firm prides itself on working collaboratively with other local and regional firms across many fields to provide clients with their multidisciplinary needs.
