Farrell Appointed New Orleans Office Business Leader For Mercer’s Health Business

NEW ORLEANS – Mercer, a global consulting leader in advancing health, wealth and careers, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies (NYSE: MMC), has recently announced the appointment of Mimi Farrell as Office Business Leader for the firm’s Health business in New Orleans. Farrell will be responsible for executing the local health and benefits consulting strategy. She will report to Mike Williams, Houston Office Business Leader for Health.

         Farrell has more than 30 years of experience in brokerage, healthcare consulting and insurance carrier underwriting. She has spent the last 12 years in Mercer’s New Orleans office, having transferred from the firm’s San Francisco office. She has consulted on many healthcare and group benefits issues, including healthcare strategy, program design and financing, compliance, total health management (wellness), vendor selection and implementation, and performance monitoring. She received a BS in mathematics and computer science from Tulane University and she is a certified employee benefits specialist.
