In this week’s podcast, Trey Burvant, vice president of studio operations at Second Line Stages, talks about the state of the city’s film industry as it rebounds impressively from the pandemic shutdown.
As vice president of studio operations at Second Line Stages, Trey Burvant has cultivated and expanded relationships with top studio executives that have brought significant productions to Louisiana. The studio facility has been host to more than 100 film, television, and commercial projects since its inception in 2009. Burvant has also served as a producer for the independent films Long Distance, The Calling, The True Don Quixote and American Reject. As an actor, he earned his MFA in acting from the American Repertory Theater at Harvard/Moscow Art Theatre. He has toured as an actor in Russia, Germany, Italy and Switzerland as well as appearing on stages across the country. On film, he has appeared in major national and regional commercials and continues to work on projects filmed here in Louisiana, including Steven Soderbergh’s HBO film Mosaic and Jordan Peele’s Get Out.
