Episode 104: Al Petrie Talks About Louisiana’s Energy Opportunities
This week’s guest, energy industry veteran Al Petrie, has organized not one but two major industry gatherings this week in New Orleans. On the podcast, he talks about how the pandemic, the global focus on clean energy and the war in Ukraine are creating opportunities for Louisiana.
Al established Al Petrie Advisors in 1998 to provide specialized investor relations and strategic analysis consulting for the energy industry. Al has worked with over 60 public and private energy companies to design and implement successful investor relations programs. He also created the Louisiana Energy Conference in 2000 that annually attracts over 450 investment and industry professionals and showcases energy industry firms in an interactive panel format in New Orleans. Prior to founding the firm, Al was the senior IR officer at Burlington Resources and, prior to that, at Louisiana Land and Exploration Company. He earned his B.S. in Accounting from the University of New Orleans and is a Certified Public Accountant (currently inactive status.)
