Dawn Starns Promoted to NFIB Senior State Director

UrlBATON ROUGE – The National Federation of Independent Business, a nonprofit advocacy organization, said that Dawn Starns has been promoted to senior state director.

Starns, who joined NFIB in 2014, will continue to serve as NFIB’s state director for Louisiana and Mississippi but will have the added responsibility of overseeing state directors in Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma as they continue to advocate on behalf of NFIB’s small business members in their state capitals.

“Dawn has done a terrific job in Louisiana and really hit the ground running at the beginning of 2020 when she took on the added responsibility of representing our members in Mississippi,” said Tim Goodrich, NFIB’s executive director of state government relations. “In her role as senior state director, Dawn will be a resource for other directors in her region and help ensure that the voice of small business comes through loud and clear in the states.”
