Danos Foundation Calls For Grant Applications
GRAY, La. – The Danos Foundation announced that the deadline for non-profit organizations to apply for a grant for the upcoming year is Aug. 31. Details were shared in a press release.
Established in 2017, the Foundation awards grants to approved 501(c)3 or 170(b) organizations that benefit education, healthcare, environment or welfare initiatives in areas where the company does business. Awards will be announced in January 2020.
“The Danos Foundation allows our company to fulfill its purpose of solving big challenges for our communities,” said Owner Mark Danos. “Through Danos GIVES, we can impact organizations addressing problems that are unique to the communities where we live and work.”
Over the past two years, the grant program has awarded $84,750 to 26 organizations throughout Louisiana, Texas and Pennsylvania. Interested non-profits should visit the foundation’s website, www.danos.com/foundation, to learn more about the grant application process and to submit an online application by 11:59 p.m. on August 31.
The Danos Foundation is funded by employee donations and supplemented with funds from the company. In addition to Danos GIVES, the Foundation has two additional programs: Danos WORKS, which awards money to approved 501(c)3 or 170(b) organizations where Danos employees volunteer their time, and Danos CARES, an employee-driven initiative that helps meet employee needs that arise from unexpected life events.
