Danos Announces Employees Of The Year

Danos
2017 Employees of the Year

GRAY, La. — Danos is proud to announce its 2017 Employees of the Year: Coatings Superintendent Andy Ho and Job Cost Supervisor Jamie Stoot-Robichaux. Each year, Danos honors a staff and field employee who have exhibited high performance and best embody the company’s core purpose and values.

“Both Jamie and Andy are exactly the type of employees we are proud to have at Danos,” said owner Eric Danos. “They exemplify excellence and high character in their work daily.”

Ho, Field Employee of the Year, joined the Danos coatings team in 2011 with four years of offshore blaster/painter experience. With his sharp knowledge and swift learning skill, he quickly moved from foreman to superintendent. At the same time, he has gained the respect of his coworkers by treating them like family.

“Our customers continue to request Andy and his crew because of his ability to complete projects on time, under budget and with the highest level of safety,” said Danos of Ho.

Originally from Vietnam, Ho came to the United States in 1980. He attended Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, on a full soccer scholarship. After working in the construction industry in California, Ho moved to his current home of Harvey, Louisiana, in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina.

Staff Employee of the Year Stoot-Robichaux joined Danos in 2013 with more than 11 years of job cost experience. After starting at an entry-level position, she was promoted to accounts receivable senior clerk, to job cost lead and is now job cost supervisor, where she is responsible for overseeing all accounting processes and invoicing of Danos service lines.

“Jamie focuses not only on improving processes in her own department, but also on improving processes throughout the company to better serve our customers,” said Danos. “At the same time, she does it all with respect and integrity.”

A native of Gibson and current resident of Raceland, Stoot-Robichaux appreciates Danos recognizing her potential and allowing her to work toward her career goals. She hopes it shows the importance of staff and support roles saying, “It all contributes to the bigger picture.”
