GRAY, La. – Danos has recognized Julie Plaisance as 2018 Staff Employee of the Year and Rollen Prout as 2018 Field Employee of the Year. Each year the company presents these awards to the staff and field member who best embody the company’s core purpose and values. Details were shared in a press release.
“Both Julie and Rollen have been recognized by customers and by peers as demonstrating our company’s values of integrity, safety, service, improvement and respect. They set the standard for all of our employees,” said owner Paul Danos. “We are proud to have them on our team and to recognize their hard work and accomplishments.”
Plaisance has been with Danos for ten years. In that time, she has served in various human resource roles, including hiring and employee representative for Danos’ drug screening program. In her current position as human resources assistant, she is the face of Danos, as she is often the first person to greet guests at the company’s headquarters or on the phone. Plaisance is a graduate of South Lafourche High School and lives in Cut Off, Louisiana. She has three children and five grandchildren.
Prout joined Danos in 1997 and currently serves as a shorebase crane operator in Port Fourchon. In his tenure with Danos, he has mentored and developed many crew members. A native of Boothville, Louisiana, Prout graduated from Boothville-Venice High School in 1982. Following graduation, he began his career in the oil and gas industry by working as a rigger in Venice. He then worked his way up through various positions to become a foreman and crane operator. Prout and his wife Vickie currently live in Lafayette, where Prout also raises cattle. They are the parents of one son, Chancey.
