Crescent Park To Host Monthly Bazaars Beginning Nov. 21
NEW ORLEANS – The French Market Corporation will launch the inaugural “Crescent Park Bazaar” on Saturday, November 21, 2015. This outdoor market will feature local artisans, food trucks and more on the Mandeville Wharf in the newly opened Crescent Park.
Part of the French Market District, Crescent Park is a 1.4 mile, 20 acre urban linear park that connects communities and visitors to the riverfront. This unique public space provides breathtaking views of New Orleans, native landscaping, bike paths, a dog run and multi-use pavilions.
The Bazaar is intended to showcase the local artist talent in New Orleans, provide a community gathering space and invite people to reconnect with the Mississippi River.
The Bazaar will be held the third Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with the exception of January, February and August for winter and summer breaks.
To kick off the inaugural Bazaar there will be a ceremonial bell ringing at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21. The inaugural Bazaar will be followed by a holiday themed Bazaar on Saturday, December 19. After a quick winter break in January and February, the Bazaar picks back up in March 2016.
