Covington Company Wins $18.4 Million Navy Contract
Weeks Marine Inc. will do dredging in Earle, New Jersey.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The Pentagon says a southeast Louisiana company has an $18.4 million Navy contract for maintenance dredging in Earle, New Jersey.
Weeks Marine Inc. of Covington is to dredge the areas around two piers and part of Sandy Hook Federal Channel at Naval Weapons Station Earle, finishing by September 2016.
Weeks was among four companies bidding for via through a Navy commerce website for the contract with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, in Norfolk, Virginia.
The contract was described in a listing of military contracts sent out daily by the Pentagon.
