City To Host 6th Strive NOLA Graduation

NEW ORLEANS—Today, Friday, February 12, 2016, the City of New Orleans will host the 6th STRIVE New Orleans (STRIVE NOLA) graduation ceremony at the New Orleans Museum of Art’s Stern Auditorium at 10:00 a.m.

         Launched in March 2015, STRIVE NOLA connects disadvantaged jobseekers to employment opportunities through anchor institutions by providing workforce case management, foundational skills training and supportive services. STRIVE NOLA is part of Mayor Landrieu’s Economic Opportunity Strategy – a comprehensive effort to ensure that every resident can take part in the city’s economic growth through partnerships with local training providers, social service agencies and community advocates.

         Expected to attend are Brandan "BMike" Odums, Founder, 2-Cent Entertainment, Ashleigh Gardere, Senior Advisor to the Mayor and Executive Director of the Network for Economic Opportunity and STRIVE New Orleans Cohort VI Graduates.
