Children’s Hospital New Orleans to Host 40th Annual Sugarplum Ball

NEW ORLEANS  – Children’s Hospital New Orleans will host the 40th Annual Sugarplum Ball presented by Lemoine on Saturday, March 19 at the River City Ballroom and Plaza at Mardi Gras World. The event is expected to raise more than $800,000.

Co-chaired by Sarah Feirn and Marye Nickens and led by a committee of more than 100 members, the ball features décor and characters inspired by an “Emerald City” theme.

“It is powerful to reflect on the history of Sugarplum Ball – one of the New Orleans community’s most celebrated philanthropic events – marking 40 years with our 2022 event,” said Children’s Hospital President and CEO John R. Nickens IV. “The continued generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations has made a lasting impact for our hospital and the patients and families we serve, and has helped fund vital services including our cancer program, transport services, heart center, pediatric research, family housing, and much more.”
