Chef Alex Harrell To Open New Restaurant Concept In The Marigny

NEW ORLEANS — Chef Alex Harrell is moving to the Marigny. The new concept is projected to open later this summer at 2600 Dauphine Street, the corner space currently occupied by The Franklin. Harrell’s new venture, the product of a partnership between Harrell, the team behind Angeline and the owners of The Franklin, will bring a fresh and inviting culinary perspective to the Marigny.

“The Marigny is so unique with a sensibility unlike any other in New Orleans. It has always been one of my favorite spots in the city and I’m excited for the opportunity to work in this community,” explains Alex Harrell. Although focused on the new concept at the moment, Harrell adds that there may be future possibilities for the Angeline concept.  

The Franklin will close following service on Monday, July 2. Harrell is projecting a late summer opening date. Additional details are forthcoming.
