Boys Town Louisiana
Non-Profits Giving Back
Boys Town Louisiana is dedicated to changing the way America cares for children and families through direct youth care and community-based prevention services. Through their services, they are investing in the children and families of New Orleans.
Louisiana’s vulnerable children and families deserve compassionate care, and Boys Town Louisiana provides it for them. The organization is a local site of national Boys Town, founded over a century ago by Father Edward Flanagan. Boys Town uses research-proven models to provide an array of life-changing services that meet children and families where they are, giving them the right kind of care at the right time and in the right way.
Across Greater New Orleans, Boys Town Louisiana offers intervention and assessment services, Boys Town family homes for learning social and independent-living skills, in-home family services, and community support services such as care coordination, parenting support, Early Head Start®, a crisis hotline, and school-based programs.
This fall, the organization is planning an inaugural Youth Awards Banquet to celebrate the accomplishments and accolades of youth in its programs.
While many of Boys Town’s programs are delivered in partnership with federal, state and local contracts and grants, philanthropy from the local community ensures that the organization can deliver services that are of the highest quality, leading to lasting successful outcomes. Boys Town’s national office provides efficient in-kind administrative overhead, which means that 100 percent of local donations directly support youth and family programs at Boys Town Louisiana.
