NEW ORLEANS – This year, Angels’ Place Inc.’s annual fundraiser, “The Party with the Angels,” is virtual. This annual event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the organization. The event will be held online at until Sept. 25.

The first virtual Party with the Angels will feature an online auction, raffle and other events. Additionally, there will be a special COVID friendly drive by Angel Pull event on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Angel Pull will be located at the Angels’ Place Activity House at 400 Coolidge in Jefferson. The ever-popular pulls are $20 each, have to be bought on-site and are limited to five per person. More information can be found at

“Angels’ Place currently assists over 100 children with life-threatening illnesses and their families with ongoing support services and respite care,” said Mark Firmin, executive director of Angels’ Place, Inc. “Our work with these families impacts over 350 people in the Greater New Orleans area, and many more throughout Louisiana. The Party with the Angels is our largest fundraiser and enables us to continue helping our kids and their families throughout the year. Although we can’t hold it in person this year, it is our hope that our community rallies around our kids like they have in years past.”

Angels’ Place is one of only a few charities of its kind in the United States, and the only one in Louisiana providing ongoing support services for children with life-threatening illnesses and their entire family. Angels’ Place holds special events year-round for the families, along with a gift card program, Christmas gifts, and school supplies drive. All programs are at no cost to the families.  As a 501c3 nonprofit, Angels’ Place, Inc. relies on the generosity of the community to sustain its efforts, offering compassion and hope to seriously ill children and those who love them.

“We are told every year how much people enjoy the Party with the Angelsthe satisfaction they receive from supporting our programs and getting to know some of our kids. Even though this year’s event is virtual, we hope you’ll consider becoming an event sponsor, bidding on the auction items online or participating in the online raffle or the Angel Pull drive-by event.” said Michele Gonzales, event co-chair.
