American Cancer Society to Host “Meet The Shuckers” Announcing 2019 Young Professional Honorees

NEW ORLEANS – Hosted by the New Orleans Chapter of American Cancer Society’s Junior Executive Board, “Meet The Shuckers” is the kick off to announce this year’s 20 young professional honorees who will raise funds in the fight against cancer, leading up to Shuck Cancer, presented by Latter & Blum, on Nov. 21.  Details were shared in a press release.

Hailed as the best new block party in town, Shuck Cancer offers guests oyster and wine pairings from across the United States and Canada, live entertainment, and a fantastic silent auction.

Funds raised from sponsorships of Shuck Cancer will go toward the American Cancer Society’s local Access to Care program for transportation grants to Greater New Orleans area health systems. These grants make a direct impact on individuals from our community who are battling cancer by providing them with much-needed transportation to treatment at no cost to them.

WHEN: Thursday, Aug. 15 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. (program begins at 7:00 p.m.)

WHERE: Martin’s Wine Cellar Uptown, 3827 Baronne St, New Orleans, LA 70115
