Allegiant Air Begins Non-Stop Service To St. Pete-Clearwater, FL
NEW ORLEANS – Allegiant Air launched service to Clearwater, FL, Friday, July 3, 2016, just in time for summer travel. This new non-stop flight departs twice-weekly on Thursdays and Sundays from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE), Allegiant’s eighth destination. St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport is located in the heart of Tampa Bay and is equidistance from the beaches of St. Petersburg and Clearwater.

Allegiant Air reps said with the purchase of air travel, passengers are privy to travel deals that include hotel, car, and entertainment options at your destination. Allegiant’s ultra-low cost fares paired with discounted package rates, makes for a deal that cannot be passed up, they said.

“From their start at the Airport with four destinations in 2015 to today with eight, Allegiant has continually offered affordable fares to and from New Orleans,” said New Orleans Aviation Board Chairwoman, Cheryl Teamer. “They have allowed people with a limited budget to fly affordably and efficiently.”

“St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida, is the newest destination passengers can travel to from MSY,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, Director of Aviation for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. “Allegiant Air now offers affordable travel to a total of eight destinations from the Airport.”
