Adams And Reese Partner Collins Accepted Into Product Liability Advisory Council
NEW ORLEANS – Adams and Reese New Orleans Partner Jaimmé Collins has been accepted into the Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC) as a Sustaining Member. PLAC is an elite nonprofit association formed in 1983 to analyze, understand and shape the common law of product liability and complex litigation.
PLAC brings together corporate counsel and private practice attorneys who focus their practice on product liability defense. Admission is honorary, strictly limited and requires recommendations from corporate members. PLAC is a significant voice advocating the defense viewpoint in product and consumer fraud cases in all courts in the nation through task forces, information sharing and its highly respected amicus program, law firm reps said.
At Adams and Reese, Collins serves as the chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee. In addition to her product liability practice, which has centered on pharmaceutical litigation, she advises clients on contractual and general business issues as well as compliance issues related to government regulatory agencies.
Collins is the immediate former chair of the Executive Committee of the Children’s Bureau of New Orleans and serves on the Board of Trustees of University Medical Center New Orleans. She is a 2013 alumna of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute and a 2013 Fellow of the Norman C. Francis Leadership Institute. She has also received numerous diversity awards in recent years, including the National Urban League’s Urban League Empowerment Award in 2014 and the National Diversity Council's Glass Ceiling Award in 2013.
