Cox Unveils Tech Center at Gretna Boys & Girls Club

GRETNA – Mayor Belinda Constant, Councilman Mike Hinyub, Cox market leader Kevin Monroe, Jefferson Chamber President Todd Murphy and 85 Boys & Girls Club members will unveil a newly updated Cox Technology Center at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana’s Westbank Club, 900 Tenth St. The event begins at 4 p.m. There will be a ribbon cutting, technology demonstrations and holiday open house. The Cox Technology Center includes state-of-the-art computers, along with coding and gaming programs, so students can build their own computers and learn about coding. The $11,000 gift also includes a “green screen” and digital cameras so they can create videos and backdrops as part of web-based STEM learning.
