New Orleans Regional Transit Authority Executive Director Cook Announces Resignation Following Board Of Commissioners Meeting

NEW ORLEANS – Following a meeting of the RTA Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, Sept. 26, executive director Greg Cook has announced that he will be resigning his post effective Friday, Sept. 29.

         “The Board of Commissioners thanks Mr. Cook for his service to the RTA throughout his tenure as Executive Director and wishes him well in all his future endeavors," said RTA chairwoman Sharonda Williams. "We are working diligently to find a capable and qualified replacement to further our mission to provide a safe and dependable transit system for all New Orleanians."

         In the coming days, the Board will appoint an interim executive director and will implement a national search for a permanent executive director. In the interim, Transdev will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization with oversight by the RTA's Board of Commissioners.
