LSU Health Foundation New Orleans Grows their Board of Directors

NEW ORLEANS - The LSU Health Foundation New Orleans has appointed three new people to their Board of Directors: Karl Ernst Hoefer, Al Bienvenu, and Joseph Hyland Authement.

Hoefer (image, bottom left) is the current Iberia Bank Regional President of Texas and Louisiana. Hoefer has extensive experience in the community including serving on various civic and business organizations including: Council for a Better Louisiana, Greater New Orleans, Inc. and Cafe Reconcile. 

Bienvenu (image, bottom center) is the founder and managing member of Bead Tree Restaurant Group LLC and Critical Mass Holdings LLC in addition to being a Managing Member of The Bienvenu Group. Bienvenu is also a member of numerous community and business organizations including the Audubon Boulevard Association, Coastal Conversation Association Delta Chapter Board Member, several local school boards, clubs, and Mardi Gras Organizations. 

Authement (image, bottom right) is the Marketing and Development Manager for Pulmonology at Intuitive Surgical. Authement has extensive background in the medical industry in addition to having served on numerous boards and community organizations including Horseman’s Benevolent & Protective Association Louisiana, the National World War II Museum and Volunteers of America New Orleans.

“As the LSU Health Foundation looks forward to innovative and entrepreneurial ways to increase the quality of healthcare for our community, we are thrilled to welcome Karl [Hoefer], Al [Bienvenu], and Joseph [Hyland Authement] to the LSU Health Foundation Board of Directors,” said LSU Health Foundation chairman Carroll W. Suggs. “Their diverse experience and breadth of knowledge, and their dedication to the Foundation and our mission makes each an exciting addition to the Board.”

The LSU Health Foundation New Orleans supports LSU Health New Orleans and its fourfold mission of patient care, education, research, and community outreach through fundraising, asset oversight and management, and the unification of donor passions with institutional priorities.
