“I’m thrilled that Condor Airlines will resume its transatlantic, non-stop flights in May 2018,” said Mayor Mitch Landrieu. “These non-stop flights to Frankfurt will continue to open gateways to new international markets and create jobs and new opportunities. Just in time for our tricentennial celebration in 2018, this will poise New Orleans to welcome even more international travelers to our world-class city.”
Condor provides a superior passenger experience onboard its 259-seat Boeing 767-300ER, reps said. Service is offered in three classes, business, premium, and economy. In each of its three classes of service, Condor provides complimentary checked baggage, beverages, meals and in-flight entertainment for all passengers. Business Class passengers have access to priority check-in and business class lounges at most airports, as well as reclining seats and a five-course meal onboard the flight. Premium Class features added legroom, leg rests, and adjustable headrests plus premium meals and more onboard the flight.
“We are very pleased that Condor Airlines will be returning with service to Frankfurt in 2018, and look forward to continuing this great partnership into the future,” said Kevin Dolliole, director of aviation for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. “We encourage the community to experience Condor and the exceptional service they offer. Germany is just a flight away!”
“We are happy to continue our flights from New Orleans to Frankfurt in the next summer season and being able to offer our customers a smart choice for their transatlantic travels two times a week,” said Jens Boyd, director long haul and revenue management Thomas Cook Group Airlines. “Our Condor flights still are the only nonstop service from New Orleans to Germany and the bookings so far clearly showed that Louisianans love our service. With our partner carriers we provide seamless connections to cities like Prague, Venice, Berlin, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, and in total more than hundred destinations in Europe. Condor’s recent growth was particularly strong in the US and Canada as European destinations pop up on more and more Americans’ travel lists. Our network consists of 16 destinations in North America today, such as Seattle, Pittsburgh, Vancouver and the new addition of Phoenix, which will be launched in summer 2018.”
“We would like to thank Condor Airlines for their continued commitment to our market,” said Cheryl Teamer, New Orleans Aviation Board chairwoman. "Condor’s service from Frankfurt has made New Orleans accessible to countless new people across Europe, and we are thrilled that we will continue to welcome Condor passengers in 2018.”
