Tuesday's Luncheon Helps Local Businesses Fight Cyber Security Threats

NEW ORLEANS – On Friday, Nov. 30, the Associated Press reported that a "security breach inside Marriott's worldwide hotel empire has compromised the information of as many as 500 million guests, exposing in some cases credit card numbers, passport numbers and birth dates." The breach also revealed the contact information of most guests.

According to the report, it's possibly the "largest data breach on record."

GlobeNet, a New Orleans-based boutique Managed Services Provider, will host a “Cyber Security and Your Business” luncheon tomorrow – Tuesday, Dec. 4, to discuss this pressing issue. The free luncheon takes place from noon to 2 p.m., in the New Orleans at Vintage Rock Club (1007 Poydras).
