'NOLA Health Innovators Challenge' Asks Entrepreneurs, Startups To Submit Innovative Health Solutions

Press conference on Thursday, Nov. 16 will kick off challenge



NEW ORLEANS - Join the New Orleans Business Alliance, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana and Ochsner Health System as they seek solutions to improve health outcomes, lower costs and provide better patient experiences.

Entrepreneurs and community members are urged to submit innovative digital health solutions that will solve critical health challenges or join the online community to vote for their favorite solutions. The NOLA Health Innovators Challenge is powered by MedStartr technology, a leader in enabling healthcare crowd challenges.

A press conference on Thursday, Nov. 16 will precede a community event at 10:30 a.m. that will feature keynote speaker Keith Toussaint, a health technology innovator and thought leader, unveil the NOLAHI challenge statements and offer a networking event for doctors, patients, nurses, hospital leaders, scientists, designers and leaders from partner organizations to collaborate, connect and co-create.The conference will be held at 10 a.m. at the New Orleans Jazz Market, 1436 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. and will kick off the official NOLA Health Innovators Challenge.

Set to attend the press conference will be Rebecca Conwell, City of New Orleans, Senior Advisor for Economic Development to Mayor Mitch Landrieu, Amritha Appaswami, NOLABA, Vice President of Bio Business Development and Strategy, Aimee Quirk, innovationOchsner, CEO and Dr. Vindell Washington, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, Chief Medical Officer.

About the New Orleans Business Alliance

A public-private partnership between the business community and city government, the New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) is the official economic development organization for the city of New Orleans. It was formed in 2010 at the behest of Mayor Mitch Landrieu and a coalition of business and civic leaders to employ the best practices in economic development to reposition New Orleans as the ideal intersection of commerce and culture.
