The Times-Picayune/NOLA.com Names Metairie Bank A Winner Of The Greater New Orleans Region 2018 Top Workplaces Award
NEW ORLEANS — Metairie Bank has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Times-Picayune/NOLA.com. Top Workplace honors are based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said CEO of Energage Doug Claffey. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”
Founded in 1947, Metairie Bank is the largest and oldest commercial bank headquartered in Jefferson Parish. With the latest in banking technology, nine locations, and 124 employees on both the North and South shores, Metairie Bank is dedicated to enriching the Greater New Orleans community, and has been for over 70 years.
“We set out five years ago to become an employer of choice, and I think having now won this award twice in that span makes it a reality,” shares President and CEO of Metairie Bank Ron E. Samford, Jr. “Congratulations to our Metairie Bank team, whose members truly value our history, our culture, our customers and each other, and strive to make a difference in our communities every day.”
“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” adds Claffey. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
