300 Block Of Bourbon Street Closed To Traffic For Up To 75 Days

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC, will re-route river bound traffic in the 300 block of Bourbon Street between Bienville and Conti streets, beginning today, Monday, May 15, at 8:00 a.m. for approximately 60 – 75 days to accommodate construction of the French Quarter Infrastructure Improvement Project. Residents and commuters are reminded to use caution when driving, bicycling and walking near this construction site.

Drivers may use Decatur or N. Rampart streets as alternative routes to reach their destination.

Signage and traffic control measures will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians. Changes to traffic flow in the 300 block of Bourbon Street are in addition to the closure in the 100 block of Bourbon Street and travel lane reduction on Canal Street between Dorsiere and Bourbon streets.
