Maison Dupuy’s ‘Sippin’ In The Courtyard’ To Benefit Local Nonprofits

The Maison Dupuy, 1001 Toulouse St.

A block away from The Maison Dupuy Hotel, the Covenant House, 611 N. Rampart St., has provided a safe haven for more than 20,000 homeless, runaway and at-risk youth, ages 22 and under, with food, shelter, clothing, medical care, educational and vocational support, individual and family counseling, job readiness and placement, short and long-term housing, life skills and more.

It’s also the first nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization The Maison Dupuy Hotel will toast this year at its 2017 “Sippin’ in the Courtyard” monthly Happy Hour series, on Wednesday, March 29, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

“We wanted to incorporate a charitable giving aspect to these events which have become popular with our guests, yet also celebrate the music of the many talented New Orleans musicians and the food specialties of our Executive Chef Matt Regan,” Maison Dupuy General Manager Steve Ferran said. “We also hope locals will come rediscover our gem of a hotel in this charming part of the French Quarter.”

The Maison Dupuy, 1001 Toulouse St., will feature Happy Hour prices for Small Plates and wine and beer and a specialty cocktail in honor of the monthly nonprofit group.

Complimentary parking is provided in the hotel’s covered garage based on availability, and The Bistreaux’s regular bar and daily dinner menu will also be available.

For the kick-off event on Wednesday, March 29, renowned performer Tim Laughlin & His Trio will provide entertainment, and attendees will be able to purchase raffle tickets to win baskets of prizes including overnight stays, dinners, bar tabs and other items provided by The Maison Dupuy. All proceeds from raffle ticket sales will be donated to Covenant House.

“We're so grateful to our friends and neighbors down the street at Maison Dupuy for supporting our young people with the raffle proceeds from ‘Sippin' in the Courtyard,’” Covenant House Executive Director Jim Kelly said.

The Maison Dupuy is a French Quarter boutique hotel with 187 distinctive rooms and 13 luxurious suites. Its picturesque, large and lush Courtyard offers 2,000 sq. feet of unobstructed space, and there’s also a newly resurfaced and heated swimming pool, 24-hour access to a fitness room and free Wi-Fi for guests.
