Capital One Bank Associates Partner With Taproot Foundation For 2017 ScopeAthon

NEW ORLEANS – Today, Wednesday, June 7, local Capital One Bank associates will come together at Place St. Charles, 201 St. Charles Ave., from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., for the 2017 ScopeAthon to help diagnose four Louisiana nonprofit organizations’ toughest challenges and then build actionable plans to tackle them.

ScopeAthon is a half-day, problem-solving event where nonprofit organizations partner with associates from Capital One in areas such as customer relationship management, business development and financial management, to learn the skills needed to grow their businesses.

The four nonprofits include Choice Foundation of New Orleans, Fund 17 of New Orleans, Girls on the Run New Orleans and Mid-City Redevelopment Alliance of Baton Rouge.

“Capital One is pleased to host ScopeAthon and help New Orleans nonprofits better achieve their missions and goals,” said Capital One Southeast Louisiana Market President Karen DeBlieux. “It is partnerships like this one linking Capital One and Taproot Foundation that help drive meaningful social change in our communities.”

Through an approach called “Investing for Good,” Capital One Bank is committed to delivering core banking services along with specialized community development, philanthropic and volunteer support to generate lasting, local community impact and valuable business results, bank reps said. Volunteer activities, including the ScopeAthon, demonstrate Capital One Bank’s longstanding commitment to programs that improve the local communities of Louisiana, they said.
