BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A company that operates a camp to house workers in Cameron Parish has met with officials in St. James Parish to explore a similar facility there.

Chad Brossett, managing partner of First Flight Holdings, tells The Advocate newspaper the meeting involved preliminary discussion of how to handle the expected influx of workers building three facilities that account for billions of dollars.

Brossett described the discussion as "very, very preliminary" and said no site or timetable was discussed. They discussed issues such as zoning and avoiding traffic disruptions.

First Flight operates Moss Lake Village in Calcasieu Parish, which has 1,900 beds for workers building a natural gas liquefaction plant there.

Moss Lake Village arranges transport for the workers to the job site, feeds them and offers other amenities.
