The Ruby Slipper Cafe Celebrates Grand Opening Of 1st Baton Rouge Location, Donates To McMains Children’s Developmental Center

BATON ROUGE – The Ruby Slipper, an award-winning breakfast and brunch spot offering Southern favorites, will celebrate the grand opening for its eighth location, and first location in Baton Rouge, Wednesday, July 26, at the Acadian Village, 3535 Perkins Rd., Suite 375, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony, complete with a traditional New Orleans second line and brass band, will start at 11:00 a.m.

         The restaurant’s grand opening celebration will also feature Mardi Gras Indians, exclusive Ruby Slipper Café T-shirts made onsite by Al Baudier Design and free juice from the café’s exclusive juice purveyor, Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice.

         The café will donate 10 percent of the day’s proceeds to McMains Children’s Developmental Center, a nonprofit with a mission to advance the quality of life for children with disabilities and their families.

         The Ruby Slipper Café is a family-owned and operated business and open to serve diners 363 days a year at five New Orleans locations (Marigny, Mid-City, Canal St., CBD on Magazine St. and Uptown on Magazine St.), as well as locations in Baton Rouge, Pensacola, Florida and Orange Beach, Alabama.
