Emeril's NOLA To Close Temporarily For Renovations, Prepare For 25th Anniversary

NEW ORLEANS – Leading up to its 25th anniversary in October, NOLA Restaurant – Chef Emeril Lagasse’s eclectic eatery in the French Quarter – will close for a six-week period starting Monday, July 31, to undergo renovations on each of the buildings three floors.
NOLA is expected to reopen Tuesday, Sept. 5, but restaurant reps said the dates are subject to change due to weather and their construction timeline.
The most notable changes at the French Quarter restaurant, located at 534 St. Louis St., will include transforming the first floor into a large bar and changing the menu format to feature small plates, in line with the globally inspired Creole cuisine currently offered at the restaurant by Chef de Cuisine Philip Buccieri.
Open since 1992, the critically-acclaimed NOLA restaurant fuses traditional Creole, Acadian and Southern cuisine with global influences. Chef de cuisine Buccieri works closely with Chef Emeril to create an innovative menu showcasing rustic Louisiana cooking with local and seasonal ingredients, NOLA reps said. The three-story restaurant currently features an open-action kitchen, chef’s food bar and a signature wood-fired brick oven.
NOLA serves dinner nightly and lunch Thursday through Monday.
