Career Opportunity: St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce Seeking CEO

NEW ORLEANS – The St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce is seeking a chief executive officer to oversee and manage all aspects of the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce. The CEO will serve as the primary point of contact for the organization, and will be responsible for organizational, program development and fund development, as well as administration, public relations, financial management, membership management and advocacy. 

The CEO must enjoy working in a small, non-profit environment and be driven by bettering the community. The ideal candidate should have the ability to multitask, balance, and prioritize responsibilities. They should be self-motivated and innovative, and should be comfortable with a high-profile role involving contact and collaboration with leaders from St. Bernard Parish and across the Greater New Orleans Region. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Details were shared in a press release.

Current CEO, Cathy Alfonso, will serve in the role through February before entering into a new role as the Community Engagement Manager for the Port of New Orleans.
