WYES-TV To Celebrate 60 Years In ‘60s Style

NEW ORLEANS – WYES-TV/ Channel 12, New Orleans’ local PBS member station, is turning 60 this year. To kick-off a year of celebrating, WYES invites guests to attend a special Gala — WYES 60 YEARS AND STILL GROOVIN’ – on Thursday, March 23, at the home of Dana and Steve Hansel at 1 Garden Lane in New Orleans.

         Attendees will enjoy cuisine by Celebrate! Catered Events by Windsor Court and out of sight libations courtesy of the Goldring Family Foundation and Sazerac Company. Guests are encouraged to wear their 1960s best as they Twist, Mash Potato, Hully Gully and Wahtusi all night long to the groovy tunes of Escalade.

         The patron party begins at 6:30 p.m., tickets are $500 per person.

         The gala begins at 8:00 p.m., tickets are $250 per person. Junior prices are available for ages 21 – 35.

         All event tickets include complimentary valet parking provided by GOPARK and can be purchased here.
