JEDCO, Jefferson Chamber To Host Online Marketing Seminar

AVONDALE, La - The Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) & the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce announce the addition of a special Prosper Jefferson seminar. Demming Bass, an official Google Trainer, Certified StoryBrand Guide and Copywriter, and award-winning brand strategist, will present a half-day marketing summit to help you grow your business online.
Throughout the morning, several sessions will be held on effective marketing messaging, identifying online customers, boosting online presence through Search Engine Optimization, and creating search-friendly websites to convert web visitors into customers.
The seminar will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. - noon at the JEDCO Conference Center, 701A Churchill Parkway, Avondale. This event is free and open to the public. It will be the final Prosper Jefferson seminar of 2017. Please register in advance at www.jedco.org/events.
Session One: Why customers buy - clarifying your message so customers will listen
When it comes to discussing their businesses, many people are so close to their products or services they do not know where to start. But with a clarified message, your website starts working for you, your team members are converted into a sales force, and your customers speak a viral message that spreads.
In this opening session, Demming Bass will share the seven universal elements of powerful stories businesses of all sizes can use to dramatically improve how they connect with customers and grow their businesses, inlcuding the real reason customers make purchases and how to simplify a brand message so people understand it.
There will also be information on how to create the most effective messaging for websites, brochures, and social media.
Session Two: Grow your business online
Learn how customers find your business online and how to promote your online presence with search engine optimization (SEO) and online advertising.
Attendees will be introduced to tools that will help them run their businesses online, including Google Analytics, G-Suite, Google Trends, and more. Attendees will learn how to create and verify a free Google My Business listing and use search engine marketing opportunities for your business
Session Three: Make your website work for you
Whether you're launching a new business website (or want to make sure your old website is the best it can be and not losing customers for you), this session will help.
You'll learn how to create a search-friendly site that's useful for customers and supports your business goals. You'll get access to great, free Google Tools to analyze and improve your current website and learn the 6 characteristics to a great website, including: Goals, Intuitiveness, Organization, Content and Usefulness, Functionality and Search-Friendliness.
