MicroBiome Therapeutics Promotes Pfost To VP Of Business Development

 

NEW ORLEANS — MicroBiome Therapeutics, a leader in developing science-based consumer health products that promote gut health, has promoted Gertrude Pfost to vice president of business development. Previously, she served as director of business development.

Pfost (pronounced “post”) joined MicroBiome Therapeutics in 2016, overseeing product marketing strategy for the company’s first product, BiomeBliss™, a clinically tested prebiotic dietary supplement that nourishes the microbiome of the human digestive system. Pfost works with the company’s marketing team to communicate the science and benefits of BiomeBliss to consumers.

A veteran of the biomedical research industry, Pfost has spent nearly 30 years marketing scientific products at world-leading companies, including advanced biomolecular research equipment for Beckman Instruments, now part of Danaher Corp., and Oxford GlycoSciences, a United Kingdom biopharmaceutical research and development firm. She also worked in scientific product sales with VWR International, one of the world’s biggest distributors of research laboratory products.

Pfost earned a master’s degree in biochemistry from Louisiana State University.
