Fund 17 To Host “Summer Happy Hour” To Celebrate And Raise Funds For New Incubator Project

NEW ORLEANS — Fund 17 of New Orleans will be opening a Community Business Incubator in the fall. It will serve as an inclusive and accessible resource center for entrepreneurs and small business owners. They plan to offer technology and equipment including computers, printers, books and cameras. In order to provide these resources, they are hosting a Summer Happy Hour Fundraiser to support the launch of the new space.

"Incubators and co-working spaces are becoming more and more common in New Orleans, but too often those spaces are geared towards the white male dominated tech space." said Founder and Executive Director of Fund 17 Haley Burns. "We envision our Community Business Incubator as a place for entrepreneurs and small business owners from the neighborhood to access valuable resources and support to grow their ideas and sustain their livelihoods."
