TruFund Financial Services, Inc. Launches ‘Women in Business: An EmpowHERment Program’

NEW ORLEANS – TruFund Financial Services, Inc. partnered with Regions Bank, on Saturday, Aug. 19, to host an invitational brunch to kick off the Women in Business: An EmpowHERment Program. The national program is specifically tailored to female entrepreneurs in each of TruFund's three markets (Louisiana, Alabama and New York) who want to learn innovative and cutting-edge ways to grow and further develop their businesses.

The EmpowHERment invitational brunch took place at Café Reconcile in New Orleans from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Participating women business owners had the opportunity to hear about the training program and fill out an application to be selected to participate.

With more than 9 million women-owned businesses nationwide, American women are steadily stepping up and taking the lead in business ownership, TruFund reps said. In 2016, a study showed that women-owned businesses were growing at a rate 1.5 times faster than the national average with the state of Louisiana ranking No. 7 for women entrepreneurs.
