WJMC Hospital Auxiliary Launches ‘Operation Neighbor’ To Help Flood Victims

MARRERO, LA – The Auxiliary to West Jefferson Medical Center and its hospital volunteers have launched Operation Neighbor 2016, a Cleaning Supplies Drive to benefit victims of the recent flooding in neighboring communities.

         Operation Neighbor 2016 will run through the month of August 2016 with distributions made on-going. New items and new supplies welcomed include:

         Monetary donations will be accepted by check made out to and mailed to Auxiliary to West Jefferson Medical Center, 1101 Medical Center Blvd., Marrero, LA, 70072, with “Operation Neighbor” written on the comments line. The Auxiliary will purchase cleaning supplies with monetary donations received for Operation Neighbor.

         “Everyone needs a little help from time to time,” said Althea LaCour, Hospital Auxiliary president at WJMC. “With our hospital family, we know we can show our love of neighbor and care and concern for those impacted by the severe flooding. Many people in the impacted communities helped our families after Hurricane Katrina and the storms which followed. Today, they need more than a little help. We thank you in advance for your contributions during Operation Neighbor 2016.”
