New Orleans Redevelopment Authority Rededicates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Walk Following Redesign

NEW ORLEANS – Today, the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) and the Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard Merchants and Business Association (OCHBMBA) hosted community members and key stakeholders on the site of its newly completed project on the neutral ground of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. between South Rampart St. and Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. NORA and OCHBMBA worked together to revitalize this popular area to include a new walkway, landscaping, interpretive signage and more.

Details were shared in a press release.

"Our work at the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority is to revitalize commercial corridors for all citizens of our great city," said Brenda Breaux, executive director of NORA. "The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Walk recognizes the cultural contributions of our local community and our shared national history, while also providing a gateway into an important neighborhood commercial corridor."
