Landis Construction Receives Two Top Industry Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Landis Construction has received two national Excellence in Construction Eagle Awards from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) for its work on the Cambria Hotel and Iberville Onsite Phases V & VI. The announcement was made at the 29th Annual Excellence in Construction Awards Gala on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, during the ABC Convention in Long Beach, California.

The Excellence in Construction awards program is the industry's leading competition, developed to honor innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects. The award honors all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. The winning projects, selected by a panel of industry experts from entries submitted from across the nation, were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost.

This year's panel included representatives from the Building Owners and Managers Association International, the Smithsonian Facilities Construction Division, the Construction Management Association of America, Engineering News-Record, the Design-Build Institute of America and various construction-related firms nationwide.

"We are proud to honor Landis Construction with these National Excellence in Construction Eagle Awards," said 2019 ABC National Chair Tony Rader. "These projects shows not only the exceptional talent in our industry, but the overall commitment to building safely, on time and on budget. Landis' breadth of skills and craftsmanship greatly benefits the merit shop construction industry."
