Covington Business Association Presents 2nd Annual Kokomo Stroll

NEW ORLEANS — The Covington Business Association presents the second annual Kokomo Stroll in downtown Covington on Saturday June, 2 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

Flip flops and boat drinks will be aplenty as crowds fill the downtown streets to taste the more than a dozen scrumptious summer drinks at CBA member businesses across downtown. Each participating CBA member business will provide a different summer specialty drink for patrons to sample. Live music – in keeping with the event’s beachy theme – will be playing in the streets and at local establishments.

The Kokomo Stroll gives Covington businesses the opportunity to interact with the local community in a fun, festive way to kick off the start of summer. Patrons will be able to sample cocktails from businesses across Covington and support the local economy, while strolling through scenic downtown and listening to live music from bands positioned along the stroll route.

Kokomo Stroll cups are $25 each and are available for purchase at www.gocovington.org. Your cup is your ticket to the event. All pre-purchased cups can be picked up in the 200 Block of Columbia Street on the day of the event. No patrons will be served without a Kokomo Stroll cup. Food will be available for purchase from street vendors and restaurants along the stroll route. After the stroll, patrons are encouraged to have dinner at one of the participating local restaurants, who will provide complimentary drink samples to stroll participants (list of participating restaurants to be included on stroll map).

Participants are encouraged to get creative with their attire and wear as much – or as little – as they like! Hawaiian shirts, flip flops, coconut bras, resort wear, etc. are encouraged. All participants must be at least 21 years old. The Kokomo Stroll will take place rain or shine.
