The 23rd Annual ClD Achievement Awards For 2015 Sales & Leases Announced

NEW ORLEANS – The 23rd Annual Commercial Investment Division (ClD) Achievement Awards for 2015 Sales & Leases were announced on Friday, April 8, 2016, at the Audubon Tea Room, 6500 Magazine St.

         In order to accord proper recognition to sales associates for outstanding devotion to the cause of private property ownership and to assist in bettering the real estate industry in general, the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® instituted this special sales award program to be based on individual sales accomplishment during the calendar year.

         Applicants for the awards must have paid annual dues to NOMAR as a primary member and to CID-NOMAR by March 31, 2015 and for 2016. New CID members who have paid dues by December 31, 2015 and who have paid 2016 dues are eligible for an Achievement Award for volume in 2015. Applications received from licensees holding Non-Primary (Dual) or Non¬-Resident Membership in the Association were not accepted.

         Property listed or sold qualified in competition only if a listing and/ or leasing commission was paid to the sales associate.  If the commission is waived on a deal then that deal could not be submitted.

 

1) AWARDS were given to the sales associates who obtained total commercial credit sales and leasing in the amount of $2,500,000, single count volume.

2) SPECIAL AWARDS: The top award winners were recognized in the following categories, except for “Largest Transaction” which recognized the largest three transactions.

COMMERCIAL CATEGORIES

  • OFFICE: Office properties are those, which are used to house management and clerical staff operations, and are used for general office purposes.
  • RETAIL: Retail properties are used for displaying and selling various kinds of goods and services to the public. Retail properties fall into three general categories: shopping centers, free standing/single stores and commercial strip properties.
  • INDUSTRIAL: Industrial properties are those, which are primarily used for production, manufacturing, warehousing, fabrication, distribution, and transportation of raw materials and/or finished products.
  • MULTI-FAMILY: Property or dwelling used for more than four (4) family residences.
  • LAND: A property that is raw dirt at Act of Sale.  Single residential lots are excluded, residential developments consisting of four lots or more qualify.
  • SPECIAL-PURPOSE: Property or dwelling which does not fit into any of the above categories such as hotel, church, school, hospital, parking lot, etc.
  • LANDLORD OR TENANT REPRESENTATION: Given to individual with largest credit volume  attributed to the tenant or landlord side of transaction only.   
  • LARGEST TRANSACTION: Given to the company or companies which are involved in the three largest transactions based on total transaction value, regardless of percentage participation in the transaction.  An award (or awards) will be given to the brokerage firm (or firms) involved in the transaction.

 

         The F. Poche Waguespack award is given to the individual who has the highest overall volume, all categories combined.

         The First NBC Top Non-Profit Commercial Development Award is given to a non-profit community commercial development project that improves the quality of life, sustains economic development and/or supports job skills for low and moderate income individuals and under-resourced communities, and/or includes sustainability initiatives.

 

         A committee appointed by the CID Board supervised the judging of all awards.

         The goal of the ClD Awards Committee is to review and recognize individual achievement among commercial real estate practitioners who are members in good standing of the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS®.
